LUXURIOUS QUEENSLAND LIVING A WARM MODERN HOME Nestled behind Surfers Paradise on the banks of the beautiful Nerang River, this Gold Coast home has been designed to maximise Queensland’s sunny weather, providing the owners with year-round enjoyment. Allwood Contractors’ clients wanted a house that flowed from inside to out, ensuring it not only takes advantage of the weather, but also enables maximum use of outdoor entertaining areas and offers excellent views to the nearby river. Another key part of the brief was to accommodate a busy family lifestyle with areas such as a library for peace and quiet where the young family can study. The company spent considerable time working on the preliminary plans to ensure the design would match the clients’ brief and fulfil their design and lifestyle requests. Designed by Mark Hudson from Project Planning Group and built by Allwood Contractors, the finished home features contemporary aesthetics that blend with the surrounding environment and create a warm atmosphere. Cladding, ColorBond roof sheeting and a crisp, cool colour palette have been employed to create an inviting and appealing house. All five bedrooms have walk-in wardrobes, and the home also features six bathrooms and a large galley-style kitchen. The media room, living/dining space and lounge rooms further enhance the home’s luxury, while the feature staircase, which leads to the two-storey void area, is lit by LED strip lighting for a sophisticated and environmentally-friendly touch.
