For this project, Adam Mason Homes worked closely with BAAHOUSE + BAASTUDIO, and interior designer Dean Maguire, to create a stunning home suited for everyday living and entertaining. Set back on the block with large areas of greenery, the design features James Hardie weatherboards in a bold monochrome colour palette, a gable roof with exposed rafters, and a visually cohesive garage. The façade is a mix of custom-designed features that create an interesting and articulated street presence.

Built to maximise passive design strategies, the home incorporates a range of energy-efficient features. Showcasing generous ceiling heights and a mix of strategically placed double-hung and louvre windows, the design promotes cross and stack ventilation to maintain a comfortable internal environment.

The form of the house and its northern orientation help maintain a comfortable and controlled climate throughout the interior, with the aid of a solar photovoltaic system, and R-value insulation. A rainwater tank further enhances the environmentally-conscious design.

Featuring ample storage potential, bespoke cabinetry, a large island that is ideal for casual meals, and expansive bench space for food preparation, the kitchen is a highly functional social hub. Premium fixtures and finishes ensure the space will stand the test of time, while remaining visually appealing.

High-quality light fixtures perfectly illuminate each room and enhance the property’s liveability, with LED downlights and pendant lights adding a sense of sophistication throughout the home.

Overcoming site restrictions to create a central courtyard, Adam Mason Homes added a touch of greenery to create a calming environment, while vertical gardens on the side boundaries take full advantage of the subtropical climate. At the rear of the house, large sliding doors open to reveal a covered alfresco area, allowing homeowners to relax and entertain guests.
