Australian design studio Luxxbox has exclusively designed a chair for the prestigious Queensland Art Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA), aptly named the ‘GOMA Chair’. Now taking pride of place at the gallery’s acclaimed GOMA Restaurant, the chair was a result of the tireless work of James Bird – the founder and creative director of Luxxboxx – and his skilled team of artisans, who honed many prototypes to produce a chair that perfectly combines art and design with comfort. Made from 100 percent plantation-grown Queensland hoop pine, the GOMA Chair is both aesthetically pleasing and environmentally sound.
