For this project, Luke Murray Builder was asked to rescue the property from destruction and to renovate it into a beautiful modern home. The clients not only wanted a complete renovation, but also a home that included a distinct designer finish and was able to last for multiple generations.

Located on a busy Brisbane street, the home was rundown, lacked character, and was in desperate need of attention. The owners wished to restore it to its former glory, but also to include all the modern trimmings while retaining the home’s original timber finishes.

Through high-quality workmanship and collaborating closely with the homeowners, Luke Murray Builder was able to deliver a completely transformed home that meets all of the clients’ requirements and still maintains the integrity of the traditional structure.

Made with entertaining in mind, the home includes a spacious kitchen equipped with all of the latest appliances and furnishings. A large alfresco at the back, which now includes a completely new deck and outdoor area with plenty of seating space and lush greenery, provides the option of entertaining outside.

One of the main challenges of this project was working with the sloping block. In order to manage it, Luke Murray Builder carefully retained the block with a beautiful sleeper finish, which is both practical and stylish. The terraced garden frames the alfresco area and creates a useable lawn at the back of the home, maximising the home’s liveability for the Queensland climate.

The home also includes three large bedrooms, two expansive bathrooms, retaining walls and a lock-up garage that provides additional storage. At the heart of the home’s renovation are the beautiful carpentry finishes, timber floors, and entertaining areas, which are perfect for family living.
