Tasked with creating a spacious, four bedroom, Hamptons-style home on a strict budget and a small block, the team at Invilla Architecture expertly achieved the brief by maximising the home’s layout to utilise every inch of available space. Even though space was at a premium, the highly functional design features a vibrant, blue pool which completes the outdoor entertaining zone.

Positioned on a narrow lot, the home features a two-car garage, which was built along the property’s southern boundary line to further enhance curb appeal. The careful placement of the feature staircase and high-level windows allow for plenty of natural light to flood the lower level of the house, while also keeping the upstairs corridors similarly light-filled and airy.

Replete with open spaces and large windows and doors, the home offers extensive views of the surrounding streetscape. The design of the living room is another project highlight as it features direct access to the north-facing front garden, views over the pool, and a stunning fireplace.

The home’s kitchen, living and dining spaces were designed to form a U-shape and flow seamlessly through to the alfresco patio and pool area. In true Hamptons character, the kitchen features an island bench complete with bar seating, which is ideal for casual meals. Featuring a neutral-toned colour palette, crisp white walls and natural oak floorboards, the kitchen’s matte-black tapware and dark-grey accents combine to create a fresh, modern aesthetic. An exemplar of small-lot living and in-fill development, the home was expertly crafted using only high-quality features and finishes and offers ample room for living and entertaining.
