Carnival Lane by StruXi Design

“Carnival Lane was created to add to the Toowoomba CBD laneway network. The final product is a pedestrian walkway and multi-functional space within the existing streetscape. Although the original structure has been completely removed, the frame is representative of the remaining skeleton of what once was. The façades are similar in scale to the adjacent shopfronts, but translucent to provide the impression of being open within. The new structures are purposely expressed and highlighted through the use of bold colours and sharp angular forms. This is contrasted by the sweeping curves of the brick planters that guide pedestrians through the space.”
