Saunders Building Company Project 3
The owners of this stunning property asked for a modern Hamptons-inspired revamp, and together Saunders Building Company and the architects at BAAHOUSE + BAASTUDIO delivered a flawless result. With a floor plan spanning 500m2 over two levels, the impressive property exudes personality and stands out on the streetscape.
With a grand stairwell void and huge internal living spaces which flow effortlessly to the outdoors, as well as a cinema room, bar, and pool house, the home accommodates its owners’ social lifestyle and offers everyday luxury.
Quality is evident from the first glance, for the property has a stunning façade and freeform Egyptian limestone cladding. Inside, the high ceilings, custom-made wainscoting and dark timber floors create an immediate impression of timeless elegance and sophistication.
A key feature of the property is the wainscoting, which was carefully created piece by piece, and delivers an understated grace. The stairwell void is a stunning display of architectural design, ensuring guests are amazed by the time and consideration that made it so spectacular.
The two levels of the property tie in seamlessly with the generously proportioned external dining and entertaining areas, which accommodate many guests with ease, and offer different zones for particular occasions.
To achieve this build’s impressive finish, Saunders Building Company used Italian tiles and VJ linings. The impressive architectural lighting from Project 20 is both functional and statement-making. Outdoors, the property was landscaped to complement the entertaining areas.
This build is also environmentally conscious, with all walls, floors and subfloor spaces insulated, along with the roof. There is a rainwater tank installed, as well as a 10kW solar system, which is perfect for taking advantage of Brisbane’s ample sunshine.
