“The house encapsulates the site and shares the entire property with itself and its occupants. It can include the street or exclude the street via its screened ground-level facade so you can welcome the frontage or turn your back to it. The overall materials’  palette was chosen for a sense of organic warmth against the hard lines of the home. Given that the home is spread with natural light, the materials were able to take on a darker palette to offset the volume of light and balance the spaces as they flow from internal to external.”
